There is still a lot of confusion surrounding Seasons Holidays and where things stand.

Regarding the £1,000 offer, the figure has nothing to do with any valuation. As they have demonstrated, Seasons would really like to cajole owners into handing back their contracts and paying thousands more for a new product. Now that tactic is failing; they want to try to lose the contracts by paying £1,000 (regardless of how long the contract runs, the price paid, or the potential value).
Regarding the subletting, after giving strong indications of substantial rental returns as a means of selling their products to you, Seasons is now confirming that owners using the subletting process could get nothing at all – but that, according to them, is not their problem. At the same time, you are likely threatened with unknown, escalating charges if you don’t register. You have no way of knowing whether the system is treating you fairly or whether the figures are accurate.
We know that Brunston is stuck in a ‘sales quagmire’, and even when units have been sold, it has taken substantial pressure from KwikChex’s actions to get owners paid a share of the proceeds of sale. People have been waiting for up to two and a half years since their contract term ended.
We know that Club Tahiti apartments have had to be withdrawn from sale due to legal matters and difficulties, leaving Keys owners (some of whom have contracts that have already passed their 16-year term) in limbo. This information has not been disclosed to the CT Keys owners.
We know that Knocktopher was taken out of the trust system to be sold at auction, without any notification or consultation with the Keys owners (the trust beneficiaries), and that despite being sold in May, owners haven’t even been told by Hutchinson what they will receive (although Seasons has previously indicated it will be very little).
We know (from what I can only describe as indisputable evidence) that Seasons encouraged people to consider fractional products as financial investments, yet Seasons now denies this. They are saying you shouldn’t expect a good financial return, and any payment could take a very long time after the contracts end.
We know that everyone sold Keys, was promised the option of a 16-year free holiday extension, and that Seasons has changed this crucial promise so much that it is worthless. That means that everyone has suffered this detriment, even if they weren’t actively considering the option.
We know that for almost everyone, the quality, availability, and ability to enjoy the promised benefits have substantially diminished, and that this is down to Seasons’ decisions, not market conditions.
The above isn’t speculative; it’s fact, and there is far more besides.
I think most would agree that the situation is deteriorating rapidly.
Equally important are the facts of your Consumer Rights. The laws are clear and robust in such matters. If you agree with the facts relating to detriment, you have the right to take action.
